Staying in New York late 70s. A former flame of Patti's. I'd recommend his writings. Sleazy gutter poet but with real feeling and he certainly lived what he wrote. Also made a couple of really decent albums just after the first wave of CBGB's punk which are well worth tracking down. Here's his best known song.
