Song of the Day # 190 -Reigning Sound
Again I have my friend Rod to thank for this. He posted a recommendation for this band's new album Shattered and now I own it. A cracking, authentic Rock and Roll record.
So many influences to hear in this great record, including Van Morrison, the Zombies, and whoever it was that did Love Potion #9, which seems to be alluded to more than once. And as I listen to it more, I also hear the fingerprints of Russ Tolman, who put out two albums in the late 80s that I absolutely loved - Down in Earthquake Town and Totem Poles & Glory Holes. Not sure if you know them, but worth checking out if you like Reigning Sound.
