Songs About People # 32 - Neal Cassady - Morrissey

This made my day when hearing it halfway through another commonplace nine to five behind a screen to slot alongside so many others. Morrissey sings about reputed main inspiration for both On the Road and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest in second track off his new album. Another bizarre cry of individuality.

  1. I'm surprised at how much I'm enjoying the new album. It's getting flak in some quarters for its raging misanthropy (among other things), but I'm finding it to be quite jaunty actually.

  2. I'm not sure raging misanthropy is a fair criticism really. Isn't that the point of Morrissey? I like what I've heard too. Very interesting instrumentation.
