Colin Vearncombe, Liverpool musician better known as the man behind Black, best known for 1986 singles Wonderful Life and Sweetest Smile, is currently in a critical condition following a car accident in Ireland last week. Last year he released his latest record Blind Faith, largely funded through a highly successful project of crowdfunding to very favourable reviews. The Guardian called it 'a less temperamental, less self-regarding cousin to Scott Walker's first four solo records.'
