From The Go Betweens to The Smiths on this series and surely Morrissey does a lyrical steal from them here, with the 'eskimo blood in my veins' line, which must be lifted from that band's debut single Karen. No problem there. Morrissey was always quite upfront about his predilections in this respect. A very fine song in The Smiths unsurpassable canon. The wonderfully judged video that accompanies it is from the American '50s eduction film The Outsider.
