Pulp's still remarkable Different Class. To my mind better than anything Martin Amis ever wrote, or at least anything he ever wrote about the working classes of whom he knew very little but still chose to objectify. This meanwhile is rooted, in real, lived experience and observation. With great tunes to boot.
